CHEYENNE — Ashley Marshall helped the Cheyenne East volleyball team sweep Evanston on Saturday.
The Thunderbirds won in two sets during the best-of-three contest, 27-25, 25-19.
Marshall had five kills, two blocks, 13 assists, and 11 digs. Hannah Harrington added nine kills and five digs. Alison Crock finished with 13 assists four digs and two service aces and libber Boden Liljedahl tallied 13 digs.
“The first game was back and forth,” East coach Nicole Quigley said. “We made about 15 or 20 errors, I’m surprised we came back to win. … We kept that up in the second set.”
East was scheduled to host Laramie as well, but the match was canceled because of poor air quality levels in the gymnasium due to the Mullen Fire.
